- I am of the older generation as you can probably tell by my music preference. I have 2 sons, Dominic and Vincent. My older son, Dominic, lives in Evanston, IL and my younger son lives with me in TN. I was married only once for 25 years and have been divorced for about 7 1/2 years. It was really hard starting over after being a wife for 25 years. Now, I'm used to being single and independent. I do not know if I will ever get married again! My place of employment just closed at the end of 2009, so now I am unemployed. We did get a small severance but it won't last forever. My title, "Desperately Seeking Shelly" comes from my nickname which is, "Shelly" and the fact that I am rediscovering who I am since my divorce. I did manage to purchase my own home and am proud of that. It is very old and not very big, needs a lot of work, but it is mine! I call it, "My Hillbilly Shack" since I live in Tennessee.
